Provincial Minister for Industries, Commerce and Investment Muhammad Ajmal Cheema has said that a British company would invest huge money in the furniture industry of Pakistan by initiating a joint venture with a Pakistani firm. Talking to a delegation of industrialists here on Wednesday, he said the British company would set up a furniture factory over 100-acres piece of land near Lahore.

With this foreign investment, more than 50,000 new job opportunities would be created and export of furniture would also be increased. He added that British company would also use leather in furniture benefiting the leather industry.
